Description
100% Baratuciat
An ancient, almost extinct variety from just west of Torino. Indigenous to the Val di Susa, this grape interested us because of its olfactory expression and its high acid. Its name means means ‘cats balls’ in the Val di Susa dialect because of the shape of the berries, small and oval, which is a great story in itself. The wine has a lot of complexity, texture and minerality. Notes of citrus (lime, lemon), white flowers, and hints of green apple. Fresh and savory, with a “green and flinty” profile, often showing hazelnut and pine nut nuances. 11.5% ABV
