Description
Jean-Pierre Robinot L’Ange Vin Lumière des Sens 2023 showcases Pineau d’Aunis, a Loire Valley grape that Robinot has championed since establishing his domaine in Chahaignes in 2002. The vines, approximately forty years old, grow on red clay, limestone, and silex soils within the Coteaux-du-Loir appellation. After manual harvest, whole bunches undergo three weeks of maceration before pressing into old oak barrels where the wine rests on lees for extended aging. Jean-Pierre Robinot L’Ange Vin bottles Lumière des Sens without fining, filtration, or added sulfites—fermentation proceeds spontaneously in ancient limestone caves carved into the hillsides.
