Description
Jean-Yves Peron’s Vers la Maison Rouge 2022 is a natural red wine made from Mondeuse grapes cultivated in the Savoie Alps at 500 meters elevation. The vineyard features steep schist and limestone soils that reflect alpine sunlight while retaining moisture. Peron practices biodynamic farming and harvests by hand at optimal ripeness. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with wild yeasts in concrete vats, followed by extended maceration for color and tannin extraction. The wine ages in neutral oak barrels for 10 months without filtration or sulfur additions, creating an authentic expression of high-altitude Savoie terroir with distinctive mountain character.
