Description
Kentucky Nectar Honey Cask Finished Straight Bourbon is a limited-release, wheated bourbon revived by Old Commonwealth Distillery. Distilled from a unique mash bill of 64% corn, 24% wheat, and 12% malted barley, this spirit provides a soft foundation that allows the honey to complement the bourbon rather than overpower it. After primary maturation, the bourbon undergoes a labor-intensive “double-barreled” finish: raw organic honey is added to new charred oak barrels which are hand-rotated daily.
The resulting profile is exceptionally viscous, featuring notes of toasted cinnamon rolls, honey-drizzled cornbread, and dark chocolate, balanced by a long finish of barrel char and clove. Bottled at various cask-strength proofs, this 750ml release is a technical showcase of honey-cask integration for serious collectors.
