Description
Kuentz-Bas Riesling is a classic, dry Alsatian white from a historic estate founded in 1795 in the village of Husseren-les-Châteaux. The domaine has been certified organic since 2007 and biodynamic since 2008, with minimal intervention in the cellar, no added yeasts or fining agents, and limited use of sulfur. The vineyards face south-southeast on clay-limestone and sandstone soils that give the wines deep texture and aromatic intensity. This Riesling shows the steely, mineral-driven, bone-dry style that defines Alsace.
