Description
Le Coste Rosato is crafted from 100% Aleatico grapes grown in a fifty-year-old vineyard at 500 meters elevation near Gradoli, Lazio, overlooking Lago di Bolsena. Winemakers Gianmarco Antonuzzi and Clémentine Bouveron farm biodynamically on volcanic soils rich in iron and minerals. Grapes are destemmed and directly pressed with only brief skin contact. Free-run must ferments spontaneously for three weeks in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, then ages ten months in old oak barrels and porcelain amphorae on fine lees. Unfiltered, unfined, no sulfur added.
