Description
100% Ciliegiolo
Off of two vineyards planted in San Gemini, one in Colle Ozio, the other in Colle Pizzuto. Soils are located at 230 – 290 meters asl, and they are clayey-calcareous of medium consistency. Fermentation is spontaneous and lasts about 20 days. After racking, the wine is aged in stainless steel on its lees for a minimum of 6 months. After bottling, Ciliegiolo Narni stays in the cellar for other 1-2 months.
The nose is rich with notes of fresh red cherries and rose floral notes, along with delicate tones of black pepper, dried flowers, and turned earth. It is juicy and fresh on the palate, with prominent flavors of strawberry and raspberry fruit. Other s include dark berry flavors dusted with cocoa and clove, giving way to wild thyme and a hint of pepper. 13% ABV
