Description
Les Foulards Rouges La Soif du Mal Rouge is a striking natural wine from Jean-François Nicq, a leading figure in the Roussillon natural wine scene. Made with 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre, this cuvée is known for its fruit-forward, fresh profile. The grapes are grown on granitic soils in the foothills of the Pyrenees, farmed biodynamically, and vinified without added sulfites.
The wine undergoes carbonic maceration for about 15 days, which enhances its vibrant fruit character while keeping tannins soft and smooth. Expect a burst of juicy red fruit flavors, such as raspberry and cherry, with subtle herbal and earthy notes. With its light body, bright acidity, and smooth finish, La Soif du Mal is perfect for easy drinking and is best enjoyed slightly chilled.
