Description
Les Foulards Rouges Les Vilains comes from the Côtes du Roussillon region in southern France. It is primarily made from Carignan, sourced from old vines in sandy granite soils. The wine is produced using carbonic maceration, where grapes ferment whole in a carbon dioxide-rich environment, resulting in a lighter, fruit-forward style. The wine is aged for six months in neutral oak barrels, enhancing its complexity without overpowering the grapes’ natural flavors.
Les Vilains is fresh and vibrant, with flavors of red berries, herbs, and a subtle earthiness. It has a medium body with soft tannins and lively acidity, making it highly drinkable.
