Description
Our prior vintage of this wine raked in numerous prestige awards, including a Platinum Medal and 94 points from the 2020 Critics Challenge International Wine Competition, as well as 93 points and Gold from the 2020 Sommelier Challenge. A New World take on a classic Old World, Bordeaux-style, this wine is full of red fruit flavors and toasty oak influences. Tucked into the Eastern portion of the Columbia Valley in the central part of Washington state, grapes in the Horse Heaven Hills appellation are subject to a very unique and challenging environment. Desert-like dry and hot temperatures are intensified by strong winds that come off the western Cascade Mountains. Fruit must work extremely hard to survive in the climate, but the result is deeply concentrated flavors and gorgeous aromatics that please all palates. A still relatively unknown region, vines planted Horse Heaven Hills produce some of the most beautiful wines in the Pacific Northwest, including this stunning Cabernet Sauvignon.
