Description
Lucas Madonia’s Lépiny is a natural red wine from the Valais region in Switzerland. This cuvée is a blend of Diolinoir, Gamay, and Pinot Noir grapes, all cultivated biodynamically on schist and limestone soils in the terraced vineyards of Ayent, situated between 600 and 820 meters above sea level. The grapes are manually destemmed and co-fermented spontaneously in neutral barrels, undergoing a 30-day maceration before pressing. The wine is then aged for one year in neutral barrels and bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfur, embodying a zero-zero winemaking philosophy that emphasizes purity and terroir expression.
