Description
The Blouge is a natural red wine from Lucas Madonia, produced in the Valais region of Switzerland. This innovative blend combines Riesling and Sylvaner (white grapes) with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (red grapes). The white and red varieties are harvested and fermented separately, then blended and aged together for nine months in neutral barrels. The wine is crafted without any additives or added sulfites, embodying a zero/zero winemaking philosophy. The vineyards are situated on steep, terraced slopes with soils rich in schist and limestone, contributing to the wine’s distinctive alpine character.
