Our Maader 99 Viognier is a notably leaner style of this popular grape with zesty citrus aromas and a bright, focused palate featuring tropical fruit flavors. This elegant expression comes as a result of Swartland’s Mediterranean climate, where warm days shape exotic fruit notes and cool nights work to preserve Viognier’s naturally low levels of acidity. Soils here have an impeccable ability to hold onto water, hydrating vines throughout the region’s long, dry summers before the Southern Hemisphere harvest takes place in March and April.
