The Macallan Terra is a 87.6 Proof (43.8% ABV) expression from The Macallan Distillery, released as a centerpiece of the Quest Collection. This Highland Single Malt is defined by a technical maturation process exclusively utilizing first-fill, sherry-seasoned oak casks sourced from the Tevasa and Vasyma cooperages in Jerez de la Frontera.
This wood-centric approach is engineered to highlight the influence of “seasoned” wood, emphasizing notes of toffee, dried fruits, and intense wood spices. After maturation in Speyside’s temperate climate, the spirit achieves a harmonious equilibrium between the robust structural depth of the European oak and the creamy, sweet characteristics of the American oak barrels, resulting in a complex and well-rounded profile.
