Description
Matteo Furlani produces Furlani Mae Son Rosato Frizzante in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy, where the vineyards sit at 300-720 meters. The soil is a mix of limestone, clay, and porphyry, benefiting from cooling winds like the Ora del Garda. The wine is made from hand-harvested Pinot Noir grapes. After a short maceration on the skins, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on the lees, and a secondary fermentation occurs in the bottle. No sulfur is added, and the wine remains unfined and unfiltered.
