Recently named “Best of Italy” and “Best of Class,” this 99 point stunner has earned a place at your table!
In this year’s Harvest Challenge wine competition, our Mannaggia All’Alba Sangiovese earned a Gold Medal from every judge who tasted it on its way to the final sweepstakes round. Rumored to be one of the preferred wines of the Romans, Sangiovese is deeply rooted in the history of Italy’s vineyards. Our winemaking partners have been passing down the art of winemaking for generations, and their skillful hands play an integral role in crafting our Mannaggia All’Alba Sangiovese. This Old World-style wine showcases Italian tradition by balancing ripe fruit flavors with savory oak and spice. Vines in the Rubicone IGT region stretch from the hills of Tuscany to the shores of the Adriatic Sea. Here grapes are cultivated in harmony with nature and benefit from hot, dry summers packed with sun-filled days. Harvest took place during the chilly nights of mid-September to ensure maximum preservation of the fruit’s delicate acidity and aromas. Picking is done by hand to assess the quality of each cluster. Fermentation then took place in traditional concrete vessels to emphasize fruit flavor before elegant oak added complexity and a softer mouthfeel. The result is a delectable example of Italian tradition and craftsmanship. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.
