Description
Meinklang Grüner Veltliner is a biodynamic wine from Burgenland, Austria, near Lake Neusiedl in the National Park Neusiedlersee UNESCO World Heritage Site. The estate practices Demeter-certified biodynamic farming with integrated cattle providing natural fertilizer. The 100% Grüner Veltliner grapes grow in sandy loam and rocky topsoil. Winemaking involves spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages on its lees for four months, then is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur addition. Alcohol content is 11 percent.
