Description
The Miquettes Syrah Vin de France is a natural wine from Domaine des Miquettes, located in the Ardèche region of the Rhône Valley, France. This wine, made from 100% Syrah, reflects the estate’s dedication to biodynamic and low-intervention practices. After hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by six months of maceration on the skins and an additional six months of aging in buried amphorae. This ancient technique, inspired by Georgian winemaking traditions, imparts unique earthy and mineral characteristics to the wine.
This great Syrah is fresh, fruity, and approachable. It showcases ripe red flavors like cherry and plum, soft tannins, and vibrant acidity. It’s best enjoyed slightly chilled and pairs beautifully with charcuterie, cheeses, or roasted pork dishes.
