Many winemakers believe that Oregon is the only place in the United States with proper growing conditions for Pinot Gris. California, for example, is too hot, Oregon’s marginal climate with long, temperate summer days and cooler autumn nights needs colder temperatures to ripen fully and produce its distinct flavors and aromas. Our 2017 vintage is an exceptional expression of this global varietal and our specific microcosm.
