Description
The name is a play on words—”rochaille” means rock in the Auvergne dialect, and Vincent Marie’s vineyard sits among large boulders deep in the woods atop Volvic’s hillside. No Control Rockaille Billy is 100% Gamay from 50-year-old vines planted at 500 meters elevation on sandy granite and volcanic soils, farmed organically and biodynamically. Whole bunches ferment in fiberglass vats for three weeks with foot-treading and gentle punch-downs. No Control Rockaille Billy sees zero inputs from harvest to bottling—no fining, no filtration, no added sulfites. Pure rock and roll winemaking.
