Description
Part of a collaboration between natural wine importer Selection Massale and select producers, Olivier Minot La Boutanche Gamay represents accessible, organic Beaujolais from southern vineyards. Olivier Minot, winemaker at Domaine des Charbonnières alongside his wife Corinne, sources 100% Gamay from 90-year-old vines for this cuvée. Semi-carbonic fermentation with native yeasts takes place in concrete tanks, followed by aging in the same vessels. Olivier Minot bottles La Boutanche with minimal to zero sulfur, typically in a one-liter format under screwcap. The playful pig-in-a-Hawaiian-shirt label belies serious winemaking from an often-overlooked corner of Beaujolais.
