Description
This is a wine that is all about color and texture. It harkens more to Bordeaux than to other parts of California, but it is all Cali. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec, the result is well structured and elegant with gentle, fine tannins that give the opportunity for significant aging. The color is vivid, almost a neon indigo that sits with a dark garnet core with a lucid flush of cardinal in the glass. The wine has a profound nose with aromatics jumping out as it’s poured and full of rich dark berry fruit, California sagebrush, and chaparral. A wine worth savoring today or in ten years’ time.
