Featuring an opaque crimson center with a deep cardinal rim, the Papillon 2022 greets the senses with aromatic hints of ripe cassis, blackberry, coastal chapparal, cedar box, and allspice. The palate echoes the nose, carrying notes of cassis, pluot, blueberry, boysenberry, shaved fennel bulb, and a touch of earth. A well-rounded and substantial mid-palate leads to smooth, velvety tannins and a finish of barbeque tri-tip, Madagascar vanilla, and toffee.
