Orphan Barrel Whoop & Holler is an 84 Proof (42% ABV) American whiskey produced as a limited release from the George Dickel Distillery. This 2016 expression utilizes the distillery’s signature high-corn mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley. Before barreling, the distillate underwent the Lincoln County Process, filtering slowly through several feet of sugar maple charcoal.

Maturation took place over 28 years at Cascade Hollow, making it the oldest age-stated release in the Orphan Barrel collection. Nearly three decades of wood interaction result in a remarkably light but complex profile. Initial notes of corn candy and vanilla are met by a mid-palate of intense barrel tannins and resin, finishing with a dry, peppery oak character and a hint of dark chocolate.
