Description
Multi-award-winning winemaker Joe Otos created this powerful red blend with the winery voted “Best New Winery” at the 2006 Wine Literary Awards. He crafted this wine using grapes from the Alexander Valley, an area of Sonoma County known for its silky red wines and home to renowned wineries Silver Oak Cellars, Clos du Bois and Geyser Peak. Aged in French oak barrels to impart notes of toasted vanilla, the TYTO gushes with black cherry and lavender flavors that linger into a slow and silky finish. Sunset magazine’s Wine Editor Sara Schneider notes that “forest aromas—cedar and pine—lead into spicy dried fruit, cassis, and fresh berry flavors on the palate, carried by a firm tannin structure.”
