About This Wine
Jayson is sourced from many of the same high-elevation Napa Valley vineyards that feed the flagship bottlings, then blended to be more approachable earlier without sacrificing pedigree. The 2022 vintage leans classic Napa: Cabernet-led structure layered with Merlot plushness and a touch of mountain fruit intensity.
In the glass you get ripe blackberry, dark cherry and cassis first, followed by cocoa powder, espresso bean and warm baking spice. There’s real depth here — not jammy, not heavy — with a polished texture that feels expensive but drinks easily. The tannins are velvety and integrated, giving the wine immediate drinkability now while still having enough backbone to age gracefully for years.

James Suckling – Rated 94 (2021 vintage):”Aromas of blackcurrants come through clearly along with hints of lead pencil. It’s medium- to full-bodied with fine velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. Caressing texture and not overdone. Lovely now to drink as a young wine but it will be even better in three to five years.”
