Papas Pilar 3 Blonde Rum is made with a blend of pot and column still rums from Florida, Central America and the Caribbean, which has been solera aged in bourbon and Port casks, and has been finished in Sherry casks. This has been inspired by the adventuring spirit of Ernest Hemingway its even named after his boat, the Pilar.
Papas Pilar 3 Blonde Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: Vanilla toasty oak and cinnamon with caramel. Notes of citrus and peach fruit.
Palate: Slightly sweet, vanilla icing and peachy fruit with cinnamon spice. Flavours strangely reminiscent of Southern Comfort liqueur.
Finish: Lingering fruity vanilla, buttery oak and black pepper spice. Perhaps more evocative of a vanilla spiced rum than a three year old light white.
