Description
Peerless Henry Kraver’s Old Reserve is a 117.6 proof (58.8% ABV) Kentucky straight bourbon aged for a minimum of ten years. Produced at Kentucky Peerless Distilling, this release marks a milestone as the distillery’s first numerically age-stated bourbon since its revival. The technical profile centers on a sweet mash fermentation process, rather than the industry-standard sour mash, distilled at a low entry proof to preserve grain oils and texture.
Maturation took place in charred American oak barrels within their Louisville urban rickhouse, where a decade of seasonal climate shifts integrated deep toasted oak and dark fruit esters. Bottled as a 750ml limited allocation, this expression showcases the robust, viscous character of extra-aged sweet mash bourbon, balancing heavy wood tannins with a refined, historic Kentucky profile.
