This orange wine is crafted from 100% Gewürztraminer grapes harvested manually from calcareous and marl-sandstone soils. The producer, Pierre Frick, employs a low-intervention approach where the grapes undergo seven to ten days of whole-cluster maceration before pressing. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in large, century-old oak foudres. Pierre Frick Gewürztraminer 2022 is bottled without filtration, fining, or added sulfites, preserving the raw intensity and aromatic complexity of the varietal.
