Description
Podere Pradarolo Velius Rosso is a natural red wine made from 100% Barbera grapes, grown organically in the hills of Varano dé Melegari in Emilia-Romagna. This wine is crafted with a non-interventionist approach, adhering to the philosophy of long maceration (about 90 days), spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, and no added sulfites. It is unfiltered and unfined. Velius Rosso is known for its deep ruby color with violet hues, and its complex aromas of red fruits, leather, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it shows a striking acidity and evident tannins, making it both vibrant and structured. The wine is aged for 15 months in large oak barrels and further refined in the bottle for a minimum of 6 months, resulting in a robust, full-bodied expression with earthy undertones.
Velius Rosso pairs well with cured meats, roasted meats, and aged cheeses, making it a versatile wine for pairing with rich, flavorful dishes. It is recommended to be served at a temperature of 15°-17°C for the best experience
