Description

Varietal: Pinot NoirAlcohol By Volume: 13%Region: Languedoc, FranceMSRP: $18.00

Crafted with grapes from a single estate along the warm seaside of southern France, Pont du Nord Pinot Noir is a bold wine that pairs with nearly any meal. Pont du Nord’s full-bodied flavors of plum and red berries have remarkable clarity thanks to exclusively using fruit from one vineyard. Hailed by critics as an exemplary Pinot Noir, Pont du Nord took the Silver Medal at the 2017 Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition.

REGION:

France’s oldest and largest winemaking region, Languedoc-Roussillon benefits from the coastal weather created by the Mediterranean Sea. While Pinot Noir is typically cultivated in cooler regions, the slightly warmer temperatures in Languedoc, produce grapes that are typically juicier and more full-bodied than those from northern France. Pont du Nord Pinot Noir displays just how incredible Languedoc’s Pinot Noirs can be.

TASTING NOTES:

Made using a classic technique known as Pigeage, a softer method of extraction that involves pressing the grape skins repeatedly, this wine has fresh, tannic flavors, and a clean finish. With deep, powerful layers of dark plum and red berries, this wine is the perfect complement to flavorful meals or sipping quietly by a roaring fire.
