Primal Volcanic Zinfandel 2023 comes from a CCOF-certified organic vineyard perched atop Mount Konocti in Lake County, California. This dormant volcano, which last erupted 11,000 years ago, provides iron-rich volcanic soils that impart distinctive mineral character to the grapes. Winemaker Jack Sporer of direct-presses the fruit and bottles the wine unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfites.
