Description
Rancho Campo harnesses the rustic beauty of high-altitude winemaking. With an earlier vintage having earned multiple awards, including a Gold Medal at an international wine competition, our 2021 vintage is aromatic and textural with sweet floral scents, zesty citrus flavors, and hints of exotic fruit. While this light white grape may seem delicate, it thrives in some of the toughest growing conditions in the world. Mendoza is home to towering peaks and extreme diurnal temperature shifts. The majority of this region’s vineyards are planted between 2,000 and 4,000 feet above sea level. At these heights, the sun’s rays intensify, encouraging the development of ripe fruit flavors — cold temperatures set in at night, which slows ripening and maintains the wine’s refreshing acidity. Vineyard crews must brave the rugged terrain, climbing harrowing switchbacks to farm these impressive vineyards. With each exquisite sip, it is evident that their efforts were well worth it.
