Old Swagger Batch 1 100 Proof (50% ABV) is a highly allocated, straight bourbon whiskey produced as the inaugural limited release by Rising Tide Spirits. Founded by master blender Ed Bley, this 2024 expression adheres to the strict Bottled-in-Bond Act standards. The liquid is a marriage of 12 hand-selected barrels of 12-year-old bourbon originally distilled in a single season at the MGP Distillery in Indiana. It utilized a traditional mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley and matured in new charred American oak barrels within the Midwestern climate.
This evolutionary process yields a rich and complex profile of vanilla custard, antique oak, and old leather, balanced by a deep undercurrent of sugared grape and blueberry with an effervescent, ginger-tinged finish.
