Sassocorno Rex is a natural red wine produced by Sassocorno in Corno di Rosazzo, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. Made from 100% Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes, the wine reflects the region’s commitment to organic viticulture. The grapes are hand-harvested between late September and early October. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeasts over a three-week maceration period on the skins. Following fermentation, the wine is aged in a combination of cement and stainless steel tanks, preserving its fresh and authentic character. With an alcohol content of 11%, Rex 2022 offers a lighter expression of this indigenous variety.
