While Horse Heaven Hills is among Washington’s warmer regions, these Merlot grapes come from cooler sites located on top of a bluff overlooking the Columbia River. To reach this level of plump fruit flavor, vineyard crews pay close attention to pruning and vine placement to maximize the fruit’s exposure to sunlight.
