The new vintage of our Gold Medal-winning Scissor Kick Cellars Shiraz is worth a minor scuffle. Bold red fruit notes contrast a touch of spice to create a quality contender worthy of your dinner table. Our Shiraz grapes had to battle the odds in a region where high temperatures and dry conditions make survival a constant struggle. But these small berries have quite thick skin (literally) and can hold their own in the roughest situations. As the vines battle an adversarial environment, their fruit reaps the rewards. When challenged, resilient grapevines focus their energy on producing fewer berries with more concentrated flavors. This results in rich wines that burst with intense fruit flavor. Our Scissor Kick Shiraz comes from some of South Australia’s oldest vineyards, which have been coming out on top since the 1960s. Let’s all raise a glass to the sweet taste of victory.
