Description
Tenuta il Nespolo Vino da Sete represents Luca Amerio’s innovative approach to Piedmontese winemaking, crafted from an organic blend of 55% Barbera, 35% Freisa, and 10% Sangiovese. The vineyards flourish in calcareous-clay soils that turn chalky-white during summer’s heat, planted on slopes with northern exposure for cooler temperatures. Grapes are harvested in early September and co-fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, then aged 4-5 months on fine lees. Located in Moasca village where Asti’s two iconic DOCG zones overlap, this wine embodies the estate’s edgy interpretation of vin de soif tradition.
