Description
Tenuta Santa Lucia Pagadebit 2024 comes from the Upper Savio Valley in Romagna, where the estate farms 12 hectares of vineyards at 250 meters elevation near Mercato Saraceno. The grape—Pagadebit, locally named Bombino Bianco—earned its name from farmers who could “pay their debts” thanks to its reliable yields even in difficult vintages. Tenuta Santa Lucia cultivates biodynamically (Demeter certified), considering lunar phases in both vineyard and cellar. Hand-harvested grapes ferment spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel, then age six months on lees. The result is a clean, mineral-driven white that expresses Romagna’s terroir.
