Description
From the hills of Mercato Saraceno in Romagna, Tenuta Santa Lucia S-cètt Sangiovese is a sulfite-free red crafted according to biodynamic principles. The estate’s 12 hectares of vineyards sit at 250 meters elevation on clay, silt, and sand soils, with vines trained on espalier using Guyot pruning. After hand-harvesting, 100% Sangiovese grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel—no sulfites added at any stage. Tenuta Santa Lucia S-cètt Sangiovese ages 12 months in steel followed by additional months in bottle, preserving the grape’s pure varietal expression.
