Tesla Añejo is an 80 Proof (40.0% ABV) ultra-exclusive, small-batch aged tequila produced in partnership with Nosotros Tequila at Casa Mestri (NOM 1438). This high-impact, limited-run expression is meticulously distilled from 100% blue Weber agave, sustainably sourced from a blend of Highland and Lowland fields in Jalisco. Maturation occurred for 15 months in premium French oak barrels, a technical choice that drives a more refined oxidation than standard American oak.
The extreme Jalisco climate accelerated the extraction of wood lignins, resulting in a dense, high-viscosity spirit with a polished, easy-drinking character. Technical specs highlight a sophisticated profile of dry fruit and light vanilla, balanced by a silky mouthfeel and a lingering finish of cinnamon and black pepper. Originally debuting in November 2020 as a nod to a famous April Fool’s joke, this release is housed in a hand-blown glass lightning bolt bottle, symbolizing Tesla’s focus on electrification and innovative design.
