Description
Thierry Hesnault’s rosé Pétillant Naturel is an exceptional expression of natural winemaking, crafted from a direct press of old vines of the hybrid grape variety Plantet, with a small addition of Chenin Blanc. The vines are rooted in soils rich in clay and iron, which impart unique mineral qualities to the wine. After fermentation, the wine is aged for eight months on the lees before being gently disgorged. The Plantet variety contributes a beautiful rosé hue, while the Chenin Blanc adds vibrancy and a refreshing acidity. The result is a delicate, nuanced sparkling wine with notes of red berries, a touch of iron minerality, and a pleasantly bitter finish, offering a sophisticated take on the Pétillant Naturel style.
