Description
Thirteenth Colony Cask Strength Double Oaked is a variable-proof 133–141 Proof (66.5%–70.5% ABV) ultra-intense, small-batch bourbon produced at the Thirteenth Colony Distillery. This explosive, high-impact expression undergoes a rigorous secondary maturation process, where fully matured bourbon is transferred into a second brand-new, charred American white oak barrel. Maturation occurred for at least 8 years within the extreme South Georgia climate, where high humidity and punishing heat cycles drove the spirit deep into the wood.
The cask-strength bottling preserves the maximum concentration of barrel-entry oils and wood sugars, resulting in a dense, high-viscosity spirit with a remarkably dark mahogany hue. Technical specs highlight a concentrated profile of dark chocolate and heavy espresso, balanced by a lingering finish of charred marshmallow, black cherry, and leather. As a non-batch-specific entry, the final ABV varies by individual release, reflecting the unique chemical interaction of the double-barrel process
