Description
Our Viognier is a complex example of a Rhône Valley-style grown right here in the USA! Lodi’s warm Mediterranean climate and stony soils emulate the galet-covered vineyards of Southern Rhône, while breezes from the nearby California Delta mimic the cooling influence of the French mistral. Here the Viognier grapes are given a long, dry growing season, which allows them to develop their broad spectrum of signature aromas and flavors. These old-growth vineyards enjoy ample heat from the California sun, which is also absorbed and radiated back onto the fruit from the rocky soils below. This warm climate example offers fruit at peak ripeness with a palate that is full, creamy, and round. Its flavors are rich and dried with complexity and texture from oak aging. The Threaded Tale Viognier allows your palate to travel to foreign lands while supporting vineyards and winemakers right here at home.
