Description
Tucked into the central part of Washington State, the environment in the Columbia Valley appellation is the polar opposite of what the world typically thinks of the Pacific Northwest. The region sits in the Cascade Mountains rain shadow to the west, which gives it a more desert-like climate. Vines planted in the area see a bit of cooling wind that comes off the mountains, but days are typically sunny and dry. Because of this weather, varietals see little rain, so those that thrive with not much attention during the growing season do best. Our 2019 Trailstone Chardonnay is a classic reflection of a fan-favorite varietal. Round fruit flavors and a creaminess on the palate blend with a minerally texture and a sweetness that coats the tastebuds.
