Description
Vini Rabasco Cancelli Rosso 2024 is a dry red wine made from 100% Montepulciano grown on biodynamically farmed 40-year-old vines in the Cancelli parcel near Pianella, Province of Pescara, Abruzzo. The vines sit at approximately 1,475 feet elevation on calcareous clay soils mixed with alluvial sediments and fossil remains, on southwest-facing slopes between the Adriatic Sea to the east and the Gran Sasso mountain range to the west. Iole Rabasco of Vini Rabasco hand-harvests the grapes, macerates for ten days on the skins, then ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in open vats, aging in stainless steel. Bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfites. 12.5% ABV. Abruzzo, Italy.
