Description
The Horse Heaven Hills appellation in Washington State is still relatively unknown in the wine world but is unique and produces some of the most gorgeous bottles in the state. The atmosphere is almost desert-like and is ideal for lighter varietals that thrive in the heat and do not need much attention throughout the growing season. Our vineyard partners who worked with us to craft this gorgeous wine were incredibly cautious with the grapes during the 2020 harvest as wildfires swept through neighboring Oregon around Labor Day. Lighter white grapes like Sauvignon Blanc used for our newest vintage of Watchful Maker was thankfully already harvested. Still, the unwelcome smoke billowed over to the Horse Heaven Hills appellation and made the beginning of the aging process challenging to manage. Despite these trying moments, this wine turned out beautifully. It’s the type of bottle that will make you want to round up close friends for an impromptu picnic in the park. Perfect for sipping on its own or to pair with spicy dishes. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.
