Vineyards here span a vast array of soil types, which results in diverse wine styles. Our Whale Light Chardonnay captures the complexity and character of this region through its layers of citrus and caramelized stone-fruit flavors. Chardonnay thrives in a variety of soil types and will reflect an array of flavors dependent on ripeness. In the warm climate of Washington’s premier grape-growing regions, this fruit enjoyed long daylight hours throughout the season. This allowed for the development of ripe fruit flavors and a rich, opulent body. A bit of sweetness is brought forth by the winemaker’s skilled use of oak, resulting in a delectable wine that is made to be savored.
