Lodi enjoys a Mediterranean climate with long dry summers where daily temperatures often exceed 90° Fahrenheit. Thanks to a large gap in California’s Coastal Ranges created by the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta, warm days are often cooled by afternoon Delta Breezes. This mediates high temperatures and protects fruit from over-ripening.
