Wild Turkey Diamond Anniversary is a 91 Proof (45.5% ABV) rare and highly sought-after straight bourbon produced at the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, KY. This limited 2014 commemorative release was crafted by Eddie Russell to celebrate his father Jimmy’s 60th year at the distillery, utilizing the iconic 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley mash bill. The spirit is a meticulous marriage of barrels matured between 13 and 16 years within the distillery’s historic timber-frame rickhouses.
This extended aging in heavy #4 alligator char oak at lower-floor positions preserves a delicate balance of wood sugars without over-oaking. The profile is characterized by a dense delivery of silk caramel, honeyed peach, and toasted almond that transitions into a long finish of creamy vanilla, seasoned oak, and a hint of spice.
